Attorney General Bob Ferguson endorses County Commissioner Janet St Clair

“Janet’s integrity and commitment to public service is impressive,” announced Attorney General Ferguson in early July. “So many of Janet’s policy priorities align with mine – from women’s reproductive rights to environmental stewardship to the opioid crisis response and accessible, accountable government. She works hard for Island County – and focuses on issues like increasing internet access and healthy communities that make real improvements in people’s lives. I’m excited to support her campaign for re-election.”

St Clair is running for a second term as Island County Commissioner, representing North Whidbey and Camano Island. She was just appointed by State Lands Commissioner Hilary Franz to the State Board for Urban and Community Forests. St Clair also serves on the board of the Washington State Community Economic Revitalization Board, NW Clean Air Agency and as Chair of the Island County Board of Public Health.

“I’m thrilled and honored by the Attorney General’s endorsement,” said St Clair. “Bob works first and foremost for the people of Washington State.  It means a lot that he recognizes my work and that the state and local governments like Island County are partners in working for the people of Washington.”

St Clair will be on the primary election ballot in Island County District 3, North Whidbey Island and Camano Islands.
