Whidbey Island Democratic Club was formed in 2003 as a political organization to promote social interaction and educational opportunities for Democrats on Whidbey Island, Washington. WIDC is NOT a Political Action Committee, and it does not contribute funds directly to any candidates for public office. WIDC may make contributions to Political Action Committees, such as the 10th L.D. Democrats or Island County Democrats. Contributions to WIDC are not tax deductible to the donor.
WIDC’s activities since 2020 include: hosting candidate forums, giving voters a chance to hear directly from candidates; participating in local events like parades and the Whidbey Island Fair; and holding the annual SummerFest celebration, where Democrats of all ages and profiles get together for an August afternoon to visit and talk politics with each other and candidates, listen to music, play a game or two and have a bite to eat. It’s great!
